| Counties We Serve
Bridges is proud to offer services to Vigo, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion, Putnam, Owen, Clay, Greene, Knox, Davies, Vanderburgh, Posey, Warrick, Gibson, Pike, Martin, Boone, Hendricks, Morgan, Hamilton, Marion, Johnson, Madison, Hancock and Shelby Counties. Peggy Burlison, a parent of a child with a disability, founded Bridges of Indiana in August of 2000. Armed with a firm commitment to home and community based services, coupled with a unique perspective on how these services should be delivered, Bridges of Indiana was established and the vision of a parent became a reality. As the need for quality home based services increased Bridges of Indiana expanded its own style of service to many other individuals throughout Indiana. Today, there are offices in Evansville, Vincennes, Terre Haute, Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Peggy Burlison currently has turned her attention to further developing Bridges Council which is a not for profit organization with a mission to assist individuals with disabilities in creative ways that are not covered by current Waiver systems. Her son, Jonathan Burlison, is the CEO and continues to further develop her vision of assisting aging populations and families and individuals with disabilities. Bridges of Indiana sponsors and participates in activities within their communities which promote and raise awareness of disabilities and disability related issues. Bridges of Indiana is also active in the Indiana’s Governor’s Planning Council, National Association of Qualified Mental Retardation Specialist, Chamber of Commerce in Evansville and Terre Haute, National Autism Society of America, Indiana Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (INARF), and on the board of directors for Indiana State Guardianship Association. |
